Bundesliga star Kevin-Prince Boateng plans to get married in the multiverse

On Saturday, June 11, the marriage of a footballer who played in the German clubs Borussia and Schalke 04, the Italian Milan and the Spanish Barcelona is to take place in the OVER metaverse.

Kevin-Prince Boateng announced his upcoming wedding on Twitter. The ceremony was organized by the Italian wedding impresario Enzo Miccio.

The festive event must take place in a location specially designed for this event in OVER. According to the organizers of the event, the wedding invitations will become available as a limited edition NFT on the OpenSea marketplace for a short period of time.

Metaverses are fast becoming a part of everyday life. They are turning from a niche hobby into a place where you can fully work, spend time off and marry. The first virtual wedding with a recorded marriage certificate on the blockchain was organized by the startup Bitnation in 2014.

The first full-fledged virtual wedding ceremony with invited guests in the presence of court representatives and witnesses took place in February this year on the Decentraland virtual reality platform.
