\t \t\t\t\tCryptocurrency aggregator CoinGecko conducted a study to find out how interested the crypto community of different countries is in the future merger of the Ethereum network.<\/p>\n

\n\t To assess interest, CoinGecko analysts turned to Google Trends search query data in the context of the upcoming Ethereum merger, namely: \u201cEthereum Merge\u201d, \u201cETH Merge\u201d, \u201cEthereum\u201d, \u201cETH\u201d, \u201cETH Classic\u201d, \u201cEthereum Classic\u201d, \u201c Merger of ETH, Ethereum PoW, ETH PoW, Ethereum PoS and ETH PoS, as well as PoW and PoS. These terms were then combined to give each country an \u201coverall search score\u201d and find out where people were most interested in searching for information about the Ethereum network merger between July 1 and September 4, 2022.\n<\/p>\n

\n\t The breakdown of the results revealed the eight countries most interested in a future Ethereum merger.\n<\/p>\n

\n\t With a total search score of 377, Singapore leads the way with a total search score of 377, with its population showing the highest search rates for \u201cEthereum Merger\u201d, \u201cETH Classic\u201d and \u201cEthereum\u201d, according to the research report. The city-state ranked second in searches for "ETH Merger" after Switzerland.\n<\/p>\n

\n\t Switzerland and Canada tied for second place with a combined search score of 286 each. In Switzerland, \u201cETH\u201d and \u201cETH Merge\u201d were the most searched. At the same time, Canada ranks first in the world for the search query "ETH PoW".\n<\/p>\n

\n\t Germany, the US, and Turkey have the highest search rates for Ethereum PoW, while the Netherlands and Australia are ranked third and fourth for ETH Merge searches.\n<\/p>\n

\n\t\t \u201cExpectation for the merger is at an all-time high as the consequences of the event will reverberate across the entire cryptocurrency ecosystem. The top 8 rankings on this list cover countries with strong communities, which may explain the high search results in this study,\u201d explained Bobby Ong, director and co-founder of CoinGecko.\n\t<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Proof-of-work (ETH PoW) searches exceeded Proof-of-Stake (ETH PoS) requests at 169%, showing the high concern of the mining community about the upcoming merger. And also, perhaps, reflects the desire to find an alternative niche for the use of equipment.<\/p>\n

\n\t Another interesting conclusion can be drawn based on the analysis of the search queries \u201cEthereum\u201d and \u201cETH\u201d, which are more common on 40% than the queries \u201cEthereum Classic\u201d and \u201cETH Classic\u201d.\n<\/p>\n

\n\t Despite the fact that Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin called
\n\tEthereum Classic is a great transition network for miners and other Proof-of-Work fans, it seems that most of the crypto community adheres to the position of Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson, who called
\n\tthe Ethereum Classic network is \u201ca worthless blockchain that does not realize its full potential.\u201d\n<\/p>\n
