\t \t\t\t\tLending platform Nexo, in response to an accusation by a Twitter user of embezzling funds for charity, warned that it could take the slanderer to justice.<\/p>\n
\n\t Otteroooo published a series of posts alleging that the founder of Nexo and members of his family were siphoning off funds from HelpKarma, a children's health charity in Bulgaria. Nexo representatives allegedly used the donations to buy real estate and fund "lavish personal travel." Otteroooo elaborated that Nexo has raised assets from Arrington XRP Capital, which has previously invested in Terra Luna, the Chai payment app, and the Terra Anchor-based DeFi protocol.\n<\/p>\n
\n\t Otteroooo suggested that Arrington XRP Capital founder Michael Arringtoa may have been profiting from donations meant for sick children and advising "Nexo, Credissimo or HelpKarma on this shady operation." Most of the accusations are centered around Konsta Kanchev, who, according to a Twitter user, is the founder of HelpKarma and Nexo. However, the co-founder of Nexo is actually Kosta Kanchev, and the founder of the charity is Konstantin Krastev.\n<\/p>\n
\n\t All this is just a "set of ridiculous accusations," Nexo said. Otteroooo has been accused of running a smear campaign against Nexo and profiting from short positions in a troubled market. The company insists that the Twitterer took advantage of Nexo's predicament when the crypto lending sector was hit hard by the market downturn. The company warned that it would use any legal means against "defamatory statements and false claims" spread through Twitter.\n<\/p>\n
\n\t The crypto lender claimed that Otteroooo intentionally combined the two names as an excuse for fact checking. Nexo and the Bulgarian non-profit charitable organization accused of wrongdoing do not and have never had common operations, common beneficial owners or common management, Nexo said.\n<\/p>\n
